I paid for express delivery on 12/30. the item was not shipped until 1/2 due to the holiday and did not arrive until 1/9. Another book ordered elsewhere at the same time was shipped on 12/31 and arrived on 1/5 by USPS. The class started on 1/5. Inquiry about the book prior to arrival was responded to quickly. However, USPS priority mail was much faster than FedX in delivery and the delay in shipping was a factor.
