The Aesthetics of Cultural Studies

The Aesthetics of Cultural Studies comes from the perspective of the 1990’s during which purveyors of Cultural Studies had been in the field for 30 years or so, having read Williams, Hall and the like. The authors of the selected essays realized the changing times and the significant exclusion of aesthetics from the Birmingham school. Barry Faulk has put together a unique blend of perspectives of Cultural Studies from media, literary criticism, art, to the political. I find it refreshing and beneficial to see the discourse of the Cultural Studies discipline progress with age.
