  2. I’m a graduate school Adult Education major and my professor choose this book along with a couple of others for our Methods course. She said althought there isn’t a book specifically published yet (she’s in process of producing w/others) this was an excellant guide. It is an excellant guide! It is straight and to the point , covers various topics without all the academic pedagogy phrasing. Like it says in the preface “There is no one best way of teaching”…you might want to buy it just to handout to YOUR professors!!

  3. This book is an asset to new teachers. It is comprehensive, easy to read and understand and covers all areas that new teachers need to be a success in the classroom. I highly recommend it to all instructors not just new instructors.

  4. I highly recommend this resource to someone who is teaching Beginning ESL students. I had never taught this level before and someone recommended it to me and this book has made my lesson planning lightyears easier than it could have been. This book has some activities in it. There is also another book that is a supplement to it called, “Out and About: photocopiable teacherless activities for English language learners.” Last I checked, Amazon didn’t offer this book, they were out. I recommend this book as well. With these two books alone, you could almost teach an entire coarse without any supplements.

Brand new book in excellent condition. Delivered within 2 weeks as specified by this buyer, however ordered another book at the same time, using same delivery method that came within 4 days of purchase. Luckily didn’t need the McKeachie book til 2 weeks into the class so it wasn’t an issue.
