This book covers all the basics for a “new” nursing home social worker. Although I was looking for something more thorough, it is a good starting point.

This is a very practical guide for social workers in this field of practice. It explains, in clear language, everything from the regulatory aspects of social work in a nursing home to appropriate roles and functions. As a former nursing home social worker (now researcher/ educator), I would consider this a “must have” for those in the field.
