I have had the opportunity to meet Dr. Herrell on several occassions. She was a speaker at several reading conferences that I attended. Not to mention, like the lady from California, I am a student at the same college that she teachers, California State University — Fresno.

The book itself serves as athe latest information in regards to second language learning. She writes about the keys to second language successes and triumphs. Most important of all, Herrell demonstrates the creativity between second language learners and bilingual teachers. Overall, this book serves as barrier for ELL learns to achieve academic success and to conquer the world.

I have actually taken a couple courses on teaching reading from this author. She really knows what she is talking about. This book is the next best thing to learning from Dr. Herrell herself.

I guess I do not might not know how long it takes for regular shipping to take, but three and a half weeks for expedited mail seems to be a long time. I was kind of upset that I had to pay extra for my book when it did not come in very fast at all.
