I needed this book as it is a required text for my pediatric clinical rotation in nursing school. Since it was a required text, I didn’t compare it to other pediatric dosage guides. I’m not a big fan of the layout, etc. compared to my Davis Drug guide for adults. It seems harder to follow and a little less consistent with regard to where certain information on each individual drug can be found. Unless it is a required text, I would probably shop around for a better PEDs dosage guide.

I am a nursing student, and this book was indispensible for my pediatric rotation. It is easy to use, and my instructor said it can easily be used for the adult population as well. Now, I’ll be loaning it to a friend who is starting her peds rotation!

Is a great drug resource. Has everything you need to know and it easy to use. My only complaint is that there is no index by brand name and the drugs are listed by generic, so if you do not know the generic name you are kind of stuck. Contains adult doses as well, and includes other pediatric medicine resources.
