Very good description of behaviors that are abusive to children, especially non-physical behaviors. One of the most insidious types of domestic violence is mental abuse…………..this book gives you insights into its practice. Good for an adult in need of understanding their past or a parent in need of recognizing the dynamics in the home. I wish I had read this in 2004; I would have taken my son and left earlier than I did.
