This book covers all aspects of a famous geographer’s life within the geographic discipline. Not only is it well written, it confronts issues within the discipline head on, regardless of any agenda ridden consequences from other geographers. This book provides an overview of what Peter Gould learned on teaching, learning, diffusing, and analyzing geographic principles and methodologies. Without a doubt, this is the best geography text I ever purchased, and it is has reinvigorated and uplifted my spirits in my personal pursuit to become a professional geographer. The how, why, when, and what of a geographer’s life work and achievements are documented in this easy to read, nonesoteric, text. Must reading for any undergraduate thought class! This coming from a recent BA graduate. You will not regret owning, much less rereading, this book!
