Since when did believing in God and having moral values make you pro-war, pro-rich, and pro-Republican? And since when did promoting and pursuing a progressive social agenda with a concern for economic security, health care, and educational opportunity mean you had to put faith in God aside? While the Right in America has hijacked the language of faith to prop up its political agenda—an agenda not all people of faith support—the Left hasn’t done much better, largely ignoring faith and continually separating moral discourse and personal ethics from public policy. While the Right argues that God’s way is their way, the Left pursues an unrealistic separation of religious values from morally grounded political … More >>

The prose is dull and the author lacks an ability to get his points across without boring the reading to an almost comatose state. For those that can’t get rest at night this is the book for you.

Jim Wallis has some good ideas, but as a writer he does inspire! This book would be best used as a good paperweight

I can’t believe so many people are deceived by this book! It is alraming how gulible folks are. We shouldn’t be concerned with the politics at all. We should be reading our Bibles (Dake Study Bible is #1!) and listening to righteous music (U2) and doing whats right.

People, this book leads you down a wrong path. Don’t go!

  3. Actually i found this book to be a comedy. God’s politics? Both the left and the right are trying so hard to see read into the Bible what the meaning of pollitics is. God has let us earthlings have all kinds of governments but they have all failed because of lies, corruption, greed and everything in between. Jim Wallis writing about what God would do or his and many other interputations are all wrong.

It has taken me years to understand the Bible and I still haven’t mastered it because it’s a book that you’ll always find something that you didn’t know before. Our government is way to corrupt to even think that they understand what GOD wants. If they only read in several accounts where Jesus says “My kingdom is not of this world.” There is only ONE form of government and that is the Kingdom of GOD. Putting GOD’s good name (Jehovah) in this book is wrong and has false believes.

If you really want to know about government,,,,,read the Bible.

You know if God was really kind he would not have allowed this book to be published. Jim Wallis has most of Christianity wrong and his biting tone is hard to believe. I object to the book because it does not represent what Christ taught and it is mean spirited toward believers who don’t have a liberal slant. When I say liberal, I mean really liberal. Save your money and your time!
