All the news that’s not fit to print! Browse through this fascinating compendium of the best of the Weekly World News and you’ll never look at the world the same way again.
Admit it. You’ve sneaked a peek at the supermarket checkout. Where else could you find the scoop on which senators are aliens, or Saddam and Osama’s torrid love affair? Serious newshounds know the Weekly World News (which counts over a million beings as readers) broke the story that Elvis still lives, but it also has exclusives on what kind of pizza was served at Jesus’ last supper, who’s the father of the Loch Ness monster’s baby, and (of course) the various escapades of Bat Boy, the half man/half bat found in a West Virgi… More >>

It’s by a guy who wrote stories from an even more over-the-top tabloid, the Sun. It just came out a few days ago.

What’s the difference between the Weekly World News and the New York Times?
One is preposterous and untruthful and only naive and odd people believe it.
The other features BAT BOY!
Seriously I greatly miss the late Weekly World News, little sister of the National Enquirer. The N.E. went mainstream (sort of)and actually became a respected investigative publication. For example, it scooped practically every important story about the O.J. Simpson trial and many other trials. But the old NE’s odder stuff had to go somewhere, so it ended up in the WWN. I personally found it more interesting to read about alien abductions and Bat Boy in the WWN than about who was divorcing whom in Hollywood, in the NE.
But those nostalgic for the old WWN need not despair. The behavior of many of our country’s leaders is much stranger than anything written about in the old WWN. So Bat Boy and his ilk live on, metaphorically of course, in the form of our 36 “Czars” of this and that, and other strange creatures of the present administration.
In the meantime, we have this wonderful collection, which should not be hidden, but left out to impress your guests with your learning and sophistication.

My dad loved this book…he used to collect the newspapers to get his students interested in reading something…anything!

This tabletop book is 6 chapter of “Best of” the WWN. While some of my all time favorates are there, some importiant “News” articles are missing.
For those with a weird sense of humor and that have not heard of the WWN this book provides an ideal introduction to the unique features WWN. Those that are long term followers, this book will bring back memories of some of WWN shining moments.
